Joanna Chevalier is the curator of “From Beirut Art +Design Scene”*, a Piasa sale, which took place in September 2020, in Paris.
She chose to bring together around a hundred works “by Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian and Egyptian artists [who have had] career momentum in Beirut, a city with unrivaled freedom of expression in the Middle East.”

A great lover of art, artistic director, curator and advisor, Joanna loves nothing more than discovering young talents and presenting them to the world. His choices are informed by his Lebanese culture and his Parisian life. They come from its cosmopolitan temperament with flavors of the Orient.
Joanna and Aurélia are a long-term friendship. She was born at Fiac almost thirty years ago. Stoulsed from the start by Aurélia, Joanna was the first standard bearer of STOULS. She is, until today, its ambassador at heart.
STOULS fits its modern half-vamp, half-Amazon style like a glove. With her natural panache, she wears the Pierre jacket, puts on her Inca poncho skirt or slips into her Katousha pants.
* Scheduled before the devastating explosion that occurred on August 4 in Beirut, Joanna, in agreement with Piasa, donated 5% of the proceeds from this sale to the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in order to contribute to student scholarships.
